Unfortunately there are not many venues for lesbians to go to.  There are 3 pure lesbian bars in Thailand, but as of now, nothing in Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia.  Below you will find listed however some lesbian owned venues.  Hopefully this is the most up to date, but sometimes places close and open that we are not aware of.  If you know of any, please contact us and let us know.

Cambodia

The Secret Garden at Otres Beach   Sihanoukville   Lesbian owned and managed they are located at the secluded end of Otres Beach. They have 10 smart, comfortable bungalows with fan or A/C, free WiFi, private jungle showers/bathtubs, and a TV in each bungalow for private movie viewing. We also feature Otres Beach’s only swimming pool with baby pool attached. Our menu of fine Asian and Western cuisine has been created by our own professional Australian chef. Cocktails and draft beer are available both at our beachside and poolside bars with happy hour specials every night. The Local Phnom Penh   Located near the Russian Market    Lesbian owned, be sure to ask for Kamala the owner and she will give you the low down on where to go and who to meet.   Bar/restaurant/guesthouse. is set over three levels. The ground floor comprises of a front courtyard, a dining area with aircon and a spiral staircase leading to the mezzanine cocktail bar. The cocktail bar also has aircon, a flatscreen TV, Angkor draft and comfortable sofa seating as well as bar stools. Following through the cocktail bar you will find a private lounge area also equipped with aircon.  The awesome menu comprises of both Western and Asian fare and can be served on any level. The rooftop also has a proper barbie, with the BBQ specials menu changing weekly and can also be served downstairs.

The Local 2 Phnom Penh     Located on The Riverside    Lesbian owned, be sure to ask for Kamala the owner and she will give you the low down on where to go and who to meet.  Bar/restaurant/boutique guesthouse. A front courtyard area leads into a swish, yet not pretentious dining area with granite tables, flatscreen TV and a cocktail bar with comfy stools. Beyond the bar is a lounge area and another flatscreen TV. The mezzanine level, as with the original Local near Russian Market, utilises the split level in a different fashion to most bars/restaurants in PP. The mezz at The Local is a cocktail bar and lounge area, whereas the mezz at The Local 2 is a fully kitted music performance space with keyboard, guitar, harmonica, mics and amp. The mezz transforms itself into a viewing space for cable TV showcasing music videos, karaoke, live sports and films.

Thailand

Baan Num Guesthouse   Bangkok   (Women Space) Soi Somdejprapinklao 7, Bang Yi Khan, Bangplad   Lesbian owned and managed with simple rooms with air flow and wooden floor creates the casual living. Small table are provide for readings or taking notes. Great little guesthouse to mingle with the local people and culture.

Shela Tomboy Club Pattaya   Located opposite to Hollywood Disco, Pattaya 3rd Road. It is a tomboy entertainment venue owned and run by the same owner of Shela in Bangkok (closed) and Zeta in RCA, Bangkok. Most of the customers who come to Shela are females, mostly aged fewer than 30. There are lots of Tom (butch) and Dy (femme) hostesses dancing on the stages and accompany their customers when their rounds finished.

She’s Club   Inthamara Soi 10  Bangkok   Populare with the Thai ladies, it is for both tom and dee.  Remember, no guyz allowed even if they are gay.  There is a private room for parties.

Vega Cafe   Sukhumvit 39  Bangkok   Owned by a group of lesbians, Vega Cafe is a bar and restaurant combined. The atmosphere is casual and attracts mixed crowds. If you want to test your singing ability, a karaoke room is available upstairs. Live bands also play local and international favourites late at night. Friday and Saturday nights are packed with local ‘tom’ and ‘dee’ celebrities.

Zeta Bangkok   Located in the entertainment district of RCA, it is opposit the only other lesbian bar in Bangkok, e-fun.  It is Bangkok’s oldest lesbian bar.  Great drinks, and lots of entertainment.  A mix of Thai and farang (although mostly Thai).  Only girls are let in, no males.  If you are more of a tradtional lesbian then you will find the crowd at Zeta much more appealing.  It tends to attract a younger crowd.

Elephantstay Ayutthaya   Located in the province of Ayutthaya, this elephant Kraal is owned by a lesbian couple.  Try this for something different, stay and work at a working elephant kraal.  It is fun, but can be hard work.  Where else but in Thailand can you pay to work for something.  It is a fantastic charatible institution for elephants.  Elephantstay  at the Royal Elephant Kraal & Village in Ayutthaya, Thailand is a fantastic way for you to get hands on experience and make a real difference to the lives of our old elephants. Stay in the most exciting, innovative, working elephant village in Asia, dedicated to conserving elephants, only one hour from Bangkok.

Up 2 You Bar and Restaurant Krabi  (May not still be open)  Chao Fa Rd,    Lesbian-owned and gay and lesbian-friendly, just up from the night market. They serve a wide variety of tasty Thai and western food. Free wi-fi for customers, a pool table and extensive cocktail menu.

Indonesia
Via Via Cafe Yogyakarta   Lesbian owned and managed  Via Via offers a selection of Indonesian dishes with a daily changing menu, respectful of vegetarians. They also serve dishes from all over the world, ranging from Indian chicken or vegetable curry with raita, chutney and chapatti to Flemish beef stew with French fries, from Australian tenderloin steak and lamb chops to fresh and tasty Mediterranean aubergines, goat cheese salad with sun-dried tomatoes and olives, and all kinds of pasta dishes and soups. Always remember to check the blackboard for dishes of the day! Let yourself be surprised by their vegetarian Spanish tortilla, Vietnamese noodles, Senegalese chicken stew, juicy grilled fish in white wine and other delicacies. And while you’re at it, you might as well enjoy an Indonesian artisanal beer or a glass of wine. On hot days you can try their refreshing cocktails or ice creams. Check out the cake of the day as well. It tastes delicious with a cup of freshly grained coffee or aromatic Javanese tea!

Via Via Guesthouse Yogyakarta  Lesbian owned and managed     From here everything Yogyakarta has to offer is conveniently within reach: tours, trainings, courses, temples, markets, art exhibitions, performances, beaches, volcanoes, nightlife and more. Please ask us for suggestions on how to best discover Yogyakarta, the cultural capital of Java. This guesthouse has 7 rooms, all named after an Indonesian region and illustrated with photos on canvas by photographer Mie Cornoedus. Temptation A newly opened premier Lesbian bar located in Tsim Sha Tsui especially for the sophisicated and profound sisters who enjoy a night of relaxing drinking and chi-chat.

Virus (Secret) The old dame of the gang, Virus has been around for a while and is known on the street as the ‘girls bar’ – a discreet term used by the female security guard of the building. The place has mosaic glass tiles and classic bar stools, with the main room sporting lazy couches and a karaoke machine in the center.

Singapore

FRY Bistro  96B Club St   A new lifestyle café opened up by Two Queens Asia, one of the leading all-girls communities in Singapore. Similar to ‘The Planet’ (from The L Word), FRY’s patrons are mainly from the creative and media industry, situated on the rooftop.
