Koh Samui does not have a true “gay beach”, many locals, expats and tourists head for the Central Chaweng Beach. Take  Sala Koy Rd left off Chaweng Beach Rd as you head south (opposite the Family Mart, about 600m past McDonalds). On the beach in front of OP Bungalows, Central Chaweng, a Thai guys and ladyboy volleyball team plays here each evening about 4:30 pm. Gays turn out to watch the fun,

Pride of Samui    Samui Pride was set up in September 2011. Our aims are: to make a bigger better gay community, to bring together tourists, Thai people and expats, to promote and foster gay tourism to the island, to  enhance the status of the gay community on the island and to raise funds for local charitable causes by organizing regular events. Samui Pride is run entirely by volunteers. It is reliant upon the support and goodwill of the many businesses on the island connected with gay tourism as well as the community generally.
